A Look At The Conception of The Internet's Rock Staiton

Originally founded in late 2003, Rock 101.9 The Edge has come a long way since its creation.  A growing number of internet radio empires first led the MKProductions team to branch out and attempt to capture the interest of a new demographic.  The absence of a clear internet rock radio leader furthur drove this ambition as MKProductions and a few newly aquired administrators set out to create what we today refer to as "The Internet's Rock Station".

With the majority of the effort of MKProducitons being channeled into the electronic and urban genres, it was unlikely that a rock station could prosper.  The introduction of higher quality streams and original live and recorded programming, however, helped deminish this thinking.  As rock fans flocked to the station to listen, a demand for additional bandwidth became apparent.

Only recently have these requests been ratified.  With the launch of a new website and, after a long struggle, plenty of bandwidth for users to come and go as they please we hope to continue to grow and improve.

While the station has undergone countless leaps forward in terms of technology, the original intent remains.  Rock 101.9 The Edge strives to bring you the best in modern and alternative rock hits while promoting indipendent artists, all backed by an interactive community of listeners with a common love for the music.
